Prof. Birzer,
I teach a Film class to juniors and seniors and after listening to your lectures am inspired to add a unit on Utopia. I wonder if you would suggest a handful of movies that I could choose from to be the capstone of the unit. I usually have the students read, listen to lectures, and discuss the ideas for about a week to a week and a half then they watch the movie.

I appreciate any input you can spare.

Hay Nathaniel, I’m not Prof. Birzer but I figured I’d reply to you post.
I’m just wondering on how you would tackle that section on utopia? Would you include The dystopias with the “perfectly” ran fictional utopias? And what do you want your students to flesh out of the unit? I have quite a few ideas depending on your answers.
