Hi everybody… I’m teaching Intro to American Politics for the first time this fall, and I am looking for textbook suggestions. I’m a history teacher, so I have no knowledge of general poli-sci textbooks other than what I used as an undergrad many, many years ago. Are there any libertarian-leaning survey textbooks out there anyone might recommend? Thanks!
I fear that I don’t know this area, and I don’t think that any of the other faculty members here are political scientists, by training or by inclination, either. What particular subjects do you intend for the course to cover? Do you have to use a textbook?
