I’ve become much sharper about economics and history and am upturning fallacies all over the place. I cannot believe the astonishing amount of ignorance and superstition out there. I’ve encountered posts like this one on facebook:
“If people do not understand that a “gold standard” has nothing to do with a real economy, there’s not much more to say, really. A country’s access to heavy metal, which is dug out of the ground, is not a measure of the productivity of anything whatsoever except the presence of a heavy metal that has little value except as anti-corrosion plating on connectors and the occasional catalyst.”
Astounding. Anyway, I give credit to this site and the Mises U for the battle against ignorance, you are performing a valuable service.
