Professor Herbener, In your lecture on State Intervention in the Northern Colonies you state that Massachusetts paid a 25% subsidy for all linens etc. Where did that subsidy money come from? Tax dollars? Tax credits?

Thanks, looks like low taxes and tax evasion are part of early American history. The only thing that has changed is the low taxes.
