I was not sure where to put this, so I decided on the General Discussion!
What are the fundamental problems with public sector unions? What books or articles would you recommend for learning more about the problems of public sector unions?
Many liberals nowadays are quick to rise to the defense of teachers, police, firefighters, and other unions explaining how they protect workers and provide for better services. Specifically, when people call into question the right of collective bargaining on the part of public sector unions, others quickly respond, “How could you take away their right to bargain! That’s tyranny!”
Any responses or critical resources on this topic would be much appreciated.
