I listen to class material by downloading mp3’s directly in safari on my iPhone, but this is not very manageable. Once you start an mp3 in safari, if you don’t finish it in one session, and then want to use the browser to go to another page, you lose your position in the mp3.

I imagine that others are manually downloading and creating playlists in itunes. I will probably do that myself because using safari is not acceptable. However, it seems like it would be a lot easier if libertyclassrom.com had podcast feeds. It takes a little work, but once you have a process, it isn’t too bad.

I had this worked out a few years ago with my ipod touch. Using iTunes you can set up the mp3s as audiobooks. There are settings to create the playlists and preserve your place if you pause the playback between listening sessions. Sorry it’s been awhile since I’ve been on apple products but I believe the functionality you wish is available.
