Listening to the course has rekindled an interest I had with the Revolutionary period about 10 years ago. Two books I still own and recall enjoying are Paul Revere’s Ride and Washington’s Crossing by David Hackett Fischer. Being that essentially anything I read these days is recommended by someone who’s Liberty movement related, I’d appreciate any thoughts on their value as I’m considering picking them up again and re-reading. Thanks, Rob
Fischer is an outstanding historian–not ideological, not captive to the latest fads, capable of constructing a good narrative, and fully in command of his sources. I recommend both of those titles.
