    Hi everyone,
I’m 18 years old and live in Luxembourg, Europe. In September I’ll start my final high school year and I still don’t know what exactly I shall do afterwards. I’m very interested in (Austrian) economics and business although the former even more.

I assume that if I study economics, they will probably be mainstream/keynesian and I’m not sure if I want to go through such a lengthy education. However, I’d consider it if I could apply Austrian Economics in my job afterwards. So are there any such jobs (that are not academic)? If not, do you know of any other jobs that I might be interested on the basis that I like austrian economics?

The problem is that I like Austrian Economics but I don’t know if I could make a living with my knowledge of it (besides academic).

    Thanks a lot!

There are a growing number of financial analysts who use Austrian economics. Peter Schiff is just the tip of the iceberg.

Austrian economists do policy analyses for think tanks. There are many in state-level policy institutes. Greg Kaza is executive director of the Arkansas Policy Foundation.

Austrian economics is making inroads into business programs. One can obtain a Ph.D. in business without having to learn the modeling techniques of economics and yet do Austrian research. Contact Peter Klein about such an opportunity.

Thanks a lot Dr Herbener! I think Thorsten Polleit who you probably know has recently started a kind of investment company. Applying AE to the markets etc. sounds very interesting! I’ll also contact Peter Klein as soon as I have the time! Thanks again!
