I settled on Robert Caro’s series The Years of Lyndon Johnson.
I was surprised when the first book, The Path to Power, went into great detail about his ancestors and their lives. While I have not read many biographies, I didn’t expect a nearly two hour chapter chronically the lives of his forebearers. It’s very interesting, though.
